Stuck inside right now and dreaming about venturing into the unknown? Seiko has just the thing for you.
In August of this year, the Seiko Museum relocated to Tokyo’s premier luxury shopping district and reopened as the Seiko Museum Ginza.
‘The museum proudly exhibits a history of Seiko’s landmark creations, from the company’s first wall clock, first pocket watch, and first wristwatch to the current collection of world-renowned designs and technologies. In addition, there is a remarkable exhibit that highlights the history of timepieces, from ancient sundials to traditional Japanese clocks that were developed centuries ago.’
For everyone not able to visit the museum in person, you can explore the exhibition spaces virtually. I spent quite some time exploring the museum (link below). It is very well done and worth a visit for any self-respecting Seiko enthusiast.
