As some of you may have found out awaiting your orders from our Atelier: We had some much needed works carried out at our premises. This meant no access to the Atelier, which would have been a good moment to relax this week.
Except, it was an even better time to rethink the website. Just a few months ago, we had already revamped the website. Yet it wasn’t quite perfect. In fact, I noticed some of us (I’m looking at a.o. Ms de Griff) didn’t find back older posts, despite not dating back so far yet. So with that in mind, the website has been rebuilt from the ground up. This is a first for us, and I certainly think it was worth the effort.
When visiting DE GRIFF you will be greeted by the familiar splash image. Just below it you will notice a few sticky posts, posts which we think are worth your attention (e.g. announcements, or good reads).
Just under that, we give a not so subtle nudge towards our Shop, should you be looking for new accessories for your watch. After that, we highlight recent articles, then prominently feature the videos (more coming soon) and as you scroll down you’ll find your way to our various columns. Videos and Articles I find a particularly fun read are highlighted in the Editor’s Picks section:
Each column section also has a simple link to its individual archive, which will make it much more intuitive to find your way to where you want to go.
In addition, the site has been optimised for all devices. We integrated more ‘swipe’ gestures (as seen below) for easy browsing on tablets & phones. The site will look different depending on which device it is accessed. All for the ease of reading of course.
As it is brand new, please do not hesitate to let me know in the comments in case anything appears to bug. It will be much appreciated.
Thanks for reading!
Best regards,
Jan
Nice set up shot!!! Website looks good to me! Can’t wait for more articles!
Great to hear! Have a few articles lined up, right in your area of interest I believe 🙂 Shot was a good excuse to break out the ultra wide angle lens for a change! Rarely gets used for watch photography for obvious reasons..
