In times where the major trade fairs had to be canceled, NOMOS Glashütte held its first “Forum” – a first of what is to become a new mainstay event for the brand. Hosted in its newly acquired venue in the heart of Glashütte.
The theme of the first event of this kind was 175 years of Glashütte watchmaking and the starting shot for the next 175 years. “Social sustainability, the transfer of knowledge and the best craftsmanship have shaped our us since 1845”, says Uwe Ahrendt, CEO of NOMOS Glashütte.
At the event the guests were able to go hands on with NOMOS’ timepieces and of course also with the very recently released (and already sold out) Lambda in Steel.
Next to the timepieces on display, there were several speakers covering various topics. Special guest speaker at the event was also Tankred Stöbe, intensive care physician and member of the international board of Doctors Without Borders and author. NOMOS Glashütte has been cooperating with Doctors Without Borders since 2012, building limited edition timepieces. For which a substantial part of the profits for each watch sold goes to aid.
The NOMOS Glashütte forum, which is aimed at retail partners and representatives of the press, should present new products at least once a year, explain perspectives and “open windows”, according to the organizers.
