Event: Moscow Watch Expo

The Moscow Watch Expo was held in Moscow from 13 to 15 of October. While the fact that you hold a watch expo in 2020 alone is quite exceptional, the Expo was also held in a different than usual format. A format that is likely to be adopted by more fairs in the future: A Hybrid format.

Its center remains the offline exposition, but now an online component was added to it, which is identical in functionality and even surpasses the usual offline exhibition. Thanks to the use of a special online platform, Moscow Watch Expo participants were able to present their products online, make appointments and communicate with customers inside the platform, including video chat. All the exhibitors of the offline exhibition had “virtual stands”, and some companies chose to participate only in digital format.

The most important part of the Moscow Watch Expo was the official conference. About 30 sessions were held during the exhibition: brand presentations, round tables, expert speeches. The conference was held in a hybrid format too: some of the speakers came to the conference room, while others spoke remotely, including from other countries. High quality broadcasts of all sessions were available on the online exhibition platform.

The hybrid format allowed the exhibitors of Moscow Watch Expo to reach the maximum number of clients. The online platform made the exhibition available to those store owners who could not come to Moscow. It attracted many visitors from adjacent markets: jewellery, gift shops.
