Release: Sinn 104 St SA A B E

Last week we introduced the new Sinn 158 limited edition.  Today, we will present the other limited edition Sinn released at Inhorgenta, the 104 St SA A B E.

Many of you might recall back in 2018, Sinn released the 103 Sa B E, with a rich sunburst blue that just comes to life under direct lighting.  The 104 St SA A B E also has a similar beautiful sun burst blue dial as well and with ivory colored numerals and hands.  There are multiple variations within the 104 line up, with the “I” 104s showing pained blocks for the hours while the “A” 104 shows Arabic numerals for the hours.

Like the rest of the line up, the limited edition have syringe hands, but painted with what Sinn calls ivory colored lume that matches the Arabic numerals.  From the press photos, these look more like faux patina but I think it looks great with the sunburst blue.

The case is polished throughout and the lugs slope downwards, making the watch feel less of a tool watch but more dressy instead.  The watch comes with a bidrectional anodized aluminum blue bezel with reverse 60 minute count down markers and lume at the key mark.  The crownCrown The knob on the outside of the watch that you typically use to either wind the mainspring or set the time [Learn More] can be screwed in with crown guards allowing the watch to be water resistant up to 200 meters and is also treated for low pressure as well.  The size of the watch is also the same as the 104 line up with a 41mm case diameter and 11.5mm thick.

Beating inside the watch is the work horse SW220-1, which has a day and date display reflected at the 3 o’clock position on the dial.  The movement is the top grade movement per Sinn’s standard and have tempered blue screwsBlued Screws Not all blue screws are equal. Traditionally heat-blued screws, involves... heat! The blue color is achieved by heating the screws to a high temperature in a controlled and clean environment. This process produces a thin layer of oxide on the surface of the screws, which gives them their distinctive blue color. It is not uncommon to find blue screws on a watch movement that were simply chemically treated, and not heat-blued. [Learn More].

The 104 St SA A B E will have a total production of 1,000 pieces and it comes with two canvas straps in the box along with spare springbars and a strap change tool.
