Unlike what you might have been told at some point in your life, size really does matter… at least when talking about the warranty covering your wristwatches.

In recent years we have seen several improvements to existing warranty programs in the watch industry. The obvious reason to that is that technologies get better and better and therefore errors are reduced to a maximum. Not so long ago for example, Jaeger-LeCoultre also increased its warranty to eight years. Omega did something similar. It seems IWC has decided it is confident enough to follow suit.
“As a consequence of our continuous investment in the quality, durability and longevity of our products, and the opening of our new Manufacturing Centre in 2018, we are now renewing our legendary promise of quality to our customers. We are proud to introduce the ‘My IWC’ programme, which enables clients to extend our International Limited Warranty from two to eight years.” – Christoph Grainger, CEO of IWC Schaffhausen
What you need to know if you are a (future) IWC customer:
From now on, every buyer of an IWC watch can join the ‘My IWC’ programme. Upon successful registration, the International Limited Warranty will be extended from two to eight years. The programme is also available retroactively. Watch enthusiasts who have purchased their IWC watch within the last two years, and are still covered by the original warranty, can also register. Members of the programme also enjoy additional benefits such as access to extra services and early information about new products and events.
Who’s next to increase their warranty?
Amazing it’s retroactive. That’s very standup.
I think so far the other ones made sinilar offers when increasing their warranties in recent memory 👍
I was wondering why that IWC looked familiar 😉
🙂 Shot by the IWC master himself 😎👍
