Earlier this year, IWC made an update to one of the constants in its line up, the 3714 Portugieser chronographChronograph A chronograph complication is a feature in a watch that allows the wearer to measure elapsed time in addition to telling the time. The updated reference 3716 made some minor changes, with the case being slightly larger now at 41mm compared with the 40.9mm case previously and instead of the modified Valjoux 7750, it received the inhouse 69335 with a display caseback showing off this movement. For 2020, IWC introduces two new dial colors to the current 3716 line up with a burgundy and green dial. Both have sunburst finishing that pops in the light as seen in the photos. These watches have the same size and movement as the current 3716.
The thin almost non-existent bezel makes this dial look bigger than its case diameter suggests and even with the bold colors, these watches are still on the dressier side as with the rest of the 3716 collection.
