The Tour de France is upon us yet again. This year it so happens that Brussels was chosen to host the start of the Tour de France! Why Brussels you may ask? It sure isn’t located in France. True indeed.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first Tour victory of Eddy Merckx, a by now legendary Belgian cyclist. Now, why on earth post about that here at DE GRIFF? Did we start making bike saddles all of a sudden? No – but the tour is passing at the back of the atelier where we make all our goods that you find in our shop.
That is the only excuse we needed to meet up with you for cheering on the racers and most certainly sharing a few drinks.
On Sunday 7 July the tour will stop at the Brussels Atomium, we will be there and look forward to seeing you there.
