As you know, anything Horological & Handcrafted gets our nod here. In a new column ‘Exploring’, we’re taking you with us as we go out exploring a bit further away from our typical horological avenues. For good measure, there are a couple of watches in here as well though…
For our first photo report, we’ve not strayed too far from the watch world as you will see. Here we are with a photo report covering the Stephex Masters. Stephex Masters is an international show-jumping event, which takes place just outside of Brussels every year. It is an absolutely glorious way to spend time with friends & family. In fact it is such an outstanding event that the likes of Bill Gates, Michael Bloomberg, Roman Abramovitsj etc… travel all the way to the Brussels outskirts just for this event.
The events key partners are a.o. Rolex & our friends at Maison De Greef . As a result there’s plenty of watch spotting to be done. Perhaps you’ll join us next year 😉
The GMTGMT A GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) complication is a feature found in some watches that allows the wearer to track two time zones simultaneously. It typically includes a 24-hour hand and a bezel or a second hour hand that can be adjusted independently of the main hour hand to track the time in a different time zone. [Learn More] in all its glory, available for close inspection at the Rolex VIP boutique. Unfortunately not available for direct purchase, and only there to give it a go before plotting your name on the dreaded Rolex waiting list…
Rolex waiting list is an urban legend…
It’s definitely an odd situation. At the boutique they even “showed” me the waiting list on their ipad 🤷♂️
But can you hook me up with a SS Rolex? 😛
😂🤷♂️😬🤐🤫
It was a long shot but I figured I ask 🤣 Be like 1990s guy buying everything and then show up with coat loaded with Rolex 😂
