Brussels, Belgium. Not just about beer & chocolates anymore…
Past weekend, 28 April 2018, we had the pleasure to host a lunch event in Brussels. We invited our habitués and close friends in order to share wine, pasta & cake. And of course, talk watches & straps. A meet organized by watch enthusiasts, for watch enthusiasts. The principal reason for organizing this meet is that we truly and sincerely have the very best readers & customers we could ask for – yet our main outlet being the online store, we rarely get to meet you face to face. This was as such a perfect way to (re) connect!

This being a hosted lunch (with food and all that), we kept it at a set number of seats. Sincere apologies to anyone we had to inform there was no place left to join us in the final weeks before the event. We’ve taken note and will make sure to reach out to you with priority for the next event.
PART I: LUNCH
The lunch was hosted in the center of Brussels. We served pasta & drinks and a lovely dessert. We talked watches, straps and all that comes with it. All that in great company!
Wristshots were taken, mobile data-plans were destroyed, watches were shared and bucketlists were dreamed up over the course of the 3 hour lunch:

PART II: Visit to Maison De Greef
We thought the perfect way to follow up the lunch would be to pay a visit to the renowned Maison De Greef in Brussels. This watch & jewelry institution is located a short walk away from our lunch venue, right next to the Brussels Grand Place. The Maison has been around since 1848 and has an incredible selection of watches & brands, so we knew this would be a real treat.
On top of their exquisite collection, they happened to have the new Tudor Baselworld 2018 collection for viewing. Safe to say, that this was enough to make most of us weak in the knees! A sincere thank you to Maison De Greef for being the perfect hosts, we could not have wished for a better close of the afternoon.

If you want to know how they managed to silence a group of raging watch enthusiasts… they simply brought out this bad boy and floored us all in one well-aimed swoop:

Anyone still standing after the above experience, was swiftly tackled into submission by a non-stop flow of high horology including this wonderful Lange:

THANK YOU everyone for travelling all the way to Brussels for this, it was a treat and we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. And without further delay, hereunder more visual goodness from the event.

HI,
I sadly came onto this event way too late. If there would be any cancelations, I’d be happy to join in. If not, I would definitely be eager to join the next event.
