Release: Konstantin Chaykin Revists The Joker With Santa

All things said and done, the watch that put Chaykin on the world map, has been without any doubt the Joker watch. A fun, handbuilt watch with a personality matched by no other watch out there. With seemingly no equals in the watch world and no competitors in this segment, Chaykin decided to challenge himself and treat us to a new twist on the Joker. World, meet Santa!

At first glance, a mere cosmetic update. But not quite. “Whereas in the standard movement (caliberCaliber The caliber ('movement') is the heart and engine of a watch. It consists of a number of interconnected components that work together. Energy is transmitted through the gear train, to the escapement mechanism. The escapement mechanism releases this energy in a controlled manner. This drives the gear train, which ultimately rotates the hands of the watch and keeps time. It typically includes a small disc with a representation of the moon, usually with a depiction of the lunar surface, that rotates to indicate the current phase of the moon. The disc rotates once every 29.5 days, the same period of time it takes for the moon to go through its lunar cycle. [Learn More] indicator disc, in the new caliber K.07-2 all three discs are in one line. Konstantin used shorter axles for the hour and minute indicators while also increasing the radius of the sphere (these discs always having a spherical surface)”.

The Wristmons’ eyes have slightly decreased in size, visually compensated for by the sapphire lenses, as has the diameter of the lunar disc. As q result the face-like dial had to be redesigned.

Excellent detail has been the updated Santa strap. No longer the business casual Tie strap paired with the Joker, but rather a full blown Santa inspired creation.
