Introducing the new Nomos Metro in 18K Rose Gold!
Known for their Bauhaus designs in their watches in stainless steel, Nomos released a new gold watch today in the Metro line. Previously, Nomos only had 2 other gold watches in their line up, the Lambda and the Metro Neomatik in 38.5mm case.

The new watch is housed in a 33mm case, with slender wire lugs and only 7.7mm thick. The dial is white silver, which can look a bit grey from the photos. The hour markers have grey dots, with larger dots at the 3, 9, and 12 o’clock positions.

Beating inside is the famous Nomos Alpha movement, beating at 3Hz with 43 hours of power reserveRéserve de marche Also known as Power Reserve. A watch's power reserve refers to the amount of time a mechanical watch can run without being wound. The power reserve of a mechanical watch can vary depending on the size of the mainspring, the efficiency of the gear train, and the rate at which the mainspring releases energy. If a watch has a Power Reserve 'complication' it simply means that the status of the power reserve can be seen on the watch itself (either on the dial or movement side of the watch). Similar (yet different) to the better known Geneva Stripes..

This being a full 18K rose gold watch, the pricing for this watch is $7,200, yes it’s on the higher end of the price range for Nomos, but considering the gold case, it is justified.

With a larger 38.5mm Metro in the line up, this 33mm gold watch seems to be targeting the smaller wrist and retro inspired audiences with the elegant dressy designs.
Thanks for highlighting this Jeff! Metro is still the line that I love most at NOMOS. Something about the crystal curves, the lugs, the dial, inhouse movement, it all just works. This one enters a very competitive price bracket though
