Heads up if your package seems to be taking its sweet time this week, it’s not the postal service, it’s us.
Europe’s in the middle of a serious heat wave, and packages sometimes sit in metal containers that get brutally hot inside. Leather really doesn’t like that. It can dry out and get stiff if it bakes for too long and will compromise the glue as well.
Our straps are built to last, we get ones back at the atelier that are ten (!) years old and still going strong and we’d like to keep it that way. So on the really hot days, we just hold shipments a bit longer instead of sending them out to bake. Once it cools down, off they go.
Nothing’s wrong, nothing’s lost. Just a short pause here and there so your leather strap shows up in good shape.
Thanks for your patience.
