We’ll admit it, we’re picky. When we started looking for a dog collar for our dog, and accidental muse, we had high hopes. The kind of hopes that get dashed when you realize there are plenty of collars out there, but none that make you go, “Wow, this is the one!” Instead, it was a sea of “meh.” We wanted something special, something that felt as timeless and enduring as the bond between you and your furry best friend. So, what did we do? We made our own. Because obviously, that’s the reasonable thing to do when you can’t find what you want.

Fast forward 12 months (yes, a full year) and after countless, rough and sometimes muddy tests, we landed on something that finally made us feel that spark. It’s thick, solid fatty leather for durability, paired with top-of-the-line solid brass hardware for strength, and finished with hand-hammered copper rivets for a touch of uniqueness. These collars age beautifully, becoming even more special over time, just like the adventures you share with your dog. No two collars are the same, and that’s the beauty of it, they’re as one-of-a-kind as your four-legged legend.
Now, if you’re Don Draper, this is the part where you take a long, judgmental sip of whiskey. “Dog collars? But you make bespoke watch straps! Where’s the synergy?” And honestly, fair point. From a strict marketing and branding perspective, this probably doesn’t make a ton of sense. But from a craftsmanship perspective? Oh, it’s a perfect fit. The same borderline obsessive attention to detail, the same high-quality materials, and the same desire to create something truly meaningful. It’s all there.
Here’s the deal, Don: we actually make stuff. Like, with our hands. Crazy, right? While most watch straps you find today are just bought, marked up to achieve jaw-dropping margins, and resold, we do things differently. We handmake every leather strap in our atelier in Belgium and sell them directly to you. No middlemen, no fluff, just ridiculously good products. And that’s exactly how we’re able to make dog collars too. Same shop, same hands, same obsessive craftsmanship. Turns out, if you know how to work with leather, you can make a collar just as beautifully as a strap; only this time, it’s for someone who actually gets excited to see you walk through the door.
We wanted these collars to feel personal, so we brought in our secret weapon: an old-school lettering machine that looks like it stepped straight out of a steampunk novel. This thing has zero chill, it’ll bite your hand off if you mistreat it. But if you handle it just right (and whisper sweet nothings, probably), it stamps the most perfect gold (colored) letters onto leather, leaving a name that’s as timeless as the collar itself. The steampunk dragon doesn’t scare us, so we’re happy to offer namesetting as a complimentary treat for your furry hero.
Want to go the extra mile? We can laser-engrave custom info on the collar, like your phone number; because let’s face it, sometimes our adventurous friends decide to embark on solo missions. Lasers scare us, so there is a small extra charge for that. When your dog inevitably becomes the neighborhood celebrity, it’s always good to have a way for them to call you.
We currently hold medium-large hardware, which limits us to the size of collars we can make. But don’t worry, small dog parents; we’re already working on a lightweight model that stays true to our commitment to quality. Stay tuned.
